HAIR OF THE DOG

Amazing cover art

1975 - Hair of the Dog is the sixth studio album by the Scottish band Nazareth, released in april 75.

Hair of The Dog is a stellar hard rock album from beginning to end.

The tracks "Miss Misery" and Nils Lofgren's "Beggars Day" boast both killer riffs and mean vocals from Dan McCafferty

Nazareth formed in December 1968, by guitarist Manny Charlton, bassist Pete Agnew, and drummer Darrell Sweet. In 1999 Sweet died at age 51 of a heart attack.

Dan McCafferty's vocals are incredible throughout, especially so on Crazy Horse cover "Beggars Day," where he knocks out an incredibly powerful chorus. "Changin' Times" is one of the faster tracks on the album and features a very good guitar riff from Manny Charlton. "Rose's in Heather" is just a beautiful instrumental, 'Please Don't Judas Me' brings it all to a great finale.

Hair of the Dog is the finest album in the Nazareth catalog. It is a necessity for both the group's fans and anyone who loves 1970s hard rock.

Awesome music from those good old days when music rocked our world... This was music of my generation and I love it !
